Jorge Garçia González

Jorge Garçía-González is a well-known figure in the international marketing and business arena and combines over 35 years of extensive experience in marketing, advertising and a record of successful international research and business developments.

Jorge played a central role in the growth of many Fortune 500 companies, brands and services in Latin America, and in the development of state-of-the-art marketing models.
He is President of JGG Consulting®, an International Business Consultancy specialized in the valuation of professional services companies, research companies in particular, and in the valuation of brands.

He is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French.

Jorge started working in Marketing for the John Deere Co. and later focused in Marketing Communications having worked with The Interpublic Group at McCann-Erickson, with Unilever at Lintas, and with Ogilvy & Mather. In 1978 he founded ASECOM Latin America a full-service marketing research company, which he sold in 2000.

Jorge received several awards during his professional career. Among them:

  • “The Crystal Eagle” for Long-Term Quality Achievement World Award, given by The Coca Cola Company (Atlanta) & Audits & Surveys Worldwide. Elected among the leading researchers in the world (1996) for Quality, Excellence and Speed
  • “The John Samuels Award” for the best paper presented at ESOMAR’s (European Society for Opinion and marketing Research) Annual Conference in Berlin (co-winner 1998)
  • Received ESOMAR’s First “The John & Mary Goodyear Award” 2000 to the best paper in the world in 1999. The paper was published in 2000 in the “Excellence in International Research” book.
  • Pro-bono community services as an active member of:
    • The Editorial Board of the International Journal of Marketing Research (UK)
    • The Editorial Board of Research World Magazine (ESOMAR-European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research)
    • Red MASO (Solidarity Magicians)
